Hidden away in the Florida wilderness, Buford Sink offers a completely different diving experience from your typical spring or boat dive. Join us Saturday, September 19th at 8:00 AM for a guided recreational deep dive and the chance to explore one of Florida’s more adventurous freshwater dive locations.
This is more than just a dive! It’s an adventure getting there, gearing up, and experiencing a side of Florida diving that many divers never get to see.

Join Gulf Coast Divers as we head into the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area for a guided recreational dive at Buford Sink. Tucked away in Florida’s natural wilderness, Buford offers an adventurous freshwater diving experience and an opportunity to explore a dive site that many recreational divers never get the chance to visit. This trip is all about getting outside, exploring somewhere new, and enjoying a fun day of diving with the Gulf Coast Divers crew.

- Trip coordination and dive-site briefing
- Group dive experience at Buford Sink
Not Included:
- Scuba equipment
- Tanks and weights
- Transportation to or from the dive site
- Food and drinks
- Required Chassahowitzka WMA SCUBA Diving Registration - Free
- Any additional personal expenses
Important WMA Requirements:
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission requires divers entering the Chassahowitzka WMA to have the appropriate WMA access permit. FWC also requires a Chassahowitzka WMA SCUBA Diving Registration to be completed and on file prior to scuba diving at Buford Spring. Divers are responsible for completing these requirements before the trip.
Dive Requirements:
Divers must arrive with all required scuba equipment and be prepared for a recreational deep dive appropriate to their certification and experience level. All diving will remain within recreational deep limits of 130ft and within the scope of the dive plan established by the Gulf Coast Divers trip leader.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made with adequate advance notice may receive a in store credit or be moved to another eligible Gulf Coast Divers trip.
Cancellations made without sufficient notice, no-shows, or cancellations after trip expenses have already been committed will not be eligible for a credit.
Weather, site conditions, water conditions, wildlife-management closures, or other circumstances outside of Gulf Coast Divers’ control may require the dive plan to be modified, rescheduled, or cancelled. Safety will always be our first priority.
